This month our Melbourne office hosted 70 chemical engineering students from Melbourne and RMIT Universities for an afternoon of learning what life is like for a SUEZ Oil & Gas Systems engineer. This annual event exposes the students to a day in the life of SUEZ’s process and project engineers, explains the project life cycle, including the tender, design, fabrication and commissioning processes, and culminates with close inspection of a near complete skid. Our engineers were bombarded by questions as varied as “Do you get to travel much?, What is a PSV?”, “How long does it take to build a gas dehydration package?” and “What do you like about your job?”.
During September, one of the students will also spend a week working at SUEZ O&GS as part of RMIT’s Week in Industry program, which we have supported for many years.
