PGI was recently awarded a contract to design and fabricate a Produced Water Conditioning package for ONGC's Heera field facilities as part of the Neelam Heera platform refurbishment project.

The contract was awarded to PGI by ESSAR Offshore Subsea (India) Ltd. (EOSSL) who are the EPC contractor to ONGC. The scope of work is for a 100,000 BWPD water treatment system comprising Deoiler Cyclones followed by Gas Flotation to remove residual oil from the produced water stream, which will be discharged to the sea.

PGI will be using their renowned CYCLONIXX® brand Deoiler Cyclones followed by their IGF proprietary system, along with sand removal facilities for some of the gravity Vessels.

Design and project management will be carried out at PGI's Abu Dhabi facilities, where the package will be also fabricated, with delivery of the completed package slated for late 2009.

PGI's General Manager, Mr Barry Graham said "We have worked hard to be accepted onto ONGC's approved Vendor lists as a supplier of Produced Water Treatment packages, and this contract award represents recognition that we have the technology and manpower expertise to be able to design and deliver this type of package to a very discerning client.

We are optimistic that we can build on this initial contract award for supply to ONGC, as there are a number of contracts to be issued by ONGC in the coming 1-2 years, and we are well placed with our well established UAE facilities and manpower resources."
