Process Group International, Abu Dhabi's foremost Process Designer & Skid packaging company, recently shipped a complete Produced Water Treatment Package destined for an offshore platform in India. This continues to demonstrate how selected companies based in this dynamic Emirate can compete with the world on technical excellence and value for money.
This is one of several projects due to be manufactured and despatched from the UAE facility to projects in India this year.
The process train designed and built for this project consists of:
- a Flash Drum to collect produced water from a number of process sources,
- a pair of chemical dosing skids,
- a pressurisation skid using low-shear pumps,
- a triple Hydrocyclone skid featuring Process Group's proprietary CYCLONIXX ® Deoiling Hydrocyclone Liners, which are regarded as among the best available,
- and 2 x 50% Induced Gas Flotation units.
The package has a design capacity of 145,000 barrels of produced water per day, which originates from separation trains within the offshore platform complex.
After passing through the Produced Water Treatment package, the water will contain less than 25 ppmV of entrained oil, having been reduced from the package inlet levels of up to 6000 ppm. The water will then be clean enough to be disposed of either into re-injection wells or discharged to the sea, assisting ONGC in their relentless drive to meet the highest environmental standards throughout their businesses.
